DeAron Washington, MA, PhD, LPC
DeAron Washington is an Assistant Professor of Counseling at Belhaven University. He has dedicated most of his training to learning how to help couples build more secure bonds. He holds an MA and a PhD from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He is a certified Emotionally Focused Couples Therapist. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Louisiana and Mississippi. DeAron believes that Love is a sacred gift, yet our ability to give or receive it is often blocked by our inability to get out of our cycles, that same old fight you are stuck in. He partners with couples to help them find their way to connection quicker and ultimately to a stronger relationship. He utilizes his professional training in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT) and academic training (MA, Ph.D.) to help couples wage war against anything that would negatively impact their bond. Also, he has the training and experience to implement the use of religion and spirituality in sessions, if it would aid in his work together with the couples.
DeAron helps people strengthen the bonds that matter most. EFCT is an evidence-based approach that supports your deep need for acceptance, belonging, comfort, and safety, making meaningful, lasting connections not just possible, but achievable. He offers marital counseling, premartial counseling, and marital intensives.
Your relationship is one of your most valuable resources. He wants to help you fight for your love. DeAron is here to help you nurture emotional intimacy and deepen your connection. If you're curious about working together, reach out for a consultation to see if he is the right fit for your journey.
